The 1" Plastic Air Release Valve is an automatic air vent designed to continuously release trapped air from pressurised water supply, irrigation, and pumping systems. Air pockets in pipelines reduce flow efficiency, cause pressure fluctuations, and can lead to water hammer — this valve eliminates all of that automatically, without any manual intervention. Made from high-grade corrosion-resistant plastic (PVC/polypropylene), it’s lightweight, chemical-resistant, and built for long-term outdoor and indoor use.

How It Works

The air release valve is installed at the highest point of a pipeline where air naturally accumulates. When air enters the valve body, a float drops and opens a small orifice, allowing the air to escape. Once the air is released and water fills the valve body, the float rises and seals the orifice — preventing water from escaping. This cycle repeats automatically whenever air accumulates.
